Doodlepunk Designs

Doodlepunk Designs is the creative venture of artist Jowellyn Neville.

Since embarking on her artistic journey in 2014, Jo has explored various genres, from Surrealism Impressionism to her distinctive Pointillism. Recently, she has embraced Hyper-Realism, utilizing Derwent Artist and Lightfast Pencils, Faber-Castell Polychromos, Caran D'A Lumienence Pencils, and Prismacolour Premier Pencils on Grafix 005 Drafting Film.

 

In addition to drawing, Jo experiments with Acrylic paintings on plasma-cut metalwork and corrugated iron sheeting, and she incorporates sculptures and photography into her repertoire.

 

Following a significant brain injury from an equine accident, art became a crucial form of therapy for her, helping to restore her hand-eye coordination and alleviate hand tremors. Inspired by her love for horses and the of the Australian bush, Jo is always eager to find new subjects and welcomes commissioned pieces.

 

She has received several awards in local art competitions, exhibited her work at the regional gallery in Orange, NSW, and holds annual featured exhibitions smaller galleries. Jowellyn's art can also be found in various and community offices across the central west of NSW and beyond, with her murals brightening her home village of Spring Hill.
